If I want to know more about the Job where/who do I contact?

On the Vacancy Details page you can find the job description, for specific information then please contact our admin team via the "Contact Us" link on that page. Alternatively you can contact one of our HR departments through our Contact Form.

What is Login used for?

A registered Login allows us to uniquely identify YOU. This means that your application details are saved for you to access later, it also means if you wish to apply for more jobs in the future you can copy details from your old application saving you time by not having to start from scratch. We ask you to confirm ownership of your email address so that we know that (a) you have typed it correctly and (b) you own the email address. This means we can then use your email address to communicate with you about your application progress.

How do I register?

Click on the “Register here” link on the Login page and you will be taken to the registration form. Complete each of the boxes with your details, then click “Submit”. Once your details have been submitted, you will be sent a verification email to confirm that you own the email address. Click on the link provided in the email, and you account is ready to use!

How do I log in?

You click on the "Login" link that can be found on the top left-hand corner of all pages, once logged in you can access your applications or apply for vacancies. To login you must enter your username which is the email address you provided when registering, and enter your password. If you have not yet confirmed your account by clicking the link in the welcome email then you will not be permitted to log in.

I have not received an email confirming my password

What do I do if I forget my password?

Should you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgotten Password' link on the Login page. Simply enter your email address and answer your Security Question, an auto generated password will be sent to you, via email. You can then log in using this password. It is recommended that you change it to something more memorable as soon as possible.

Can I download my application form?

No, unfortunately, it is not possible to download our forms. If you are having difficulties applying online, please contact our recruitment advice team using the Contact Next Human Resources Team link on the Vacancy Details page. If you have already completed an application and would like to keep a record of what you submitted you can view this in My Profile > My Applications.

What happens if I misspell my email address?

You must be very careful when registering – if you accidentally misspell your email address, the system won’t recognise your real address and when you come to log back in it won’t let you. For this reason we ask you to type it twice when registering. Any further login problems please contact the Next Human Resources Team – details can be found on the Vacancy Detail page.

Do all applications have to be made online?

Yes, most of our Head Office applications are online based. For store vacancies please contact your local store, details of stores can be found by going to the Retail Careers section.

How can I personalise my password after a reset?

If you wish to change your password, make sure you have logged on with your auto generated password, then click the ‘Manage My Profile’ button at the top of the screen and select ‘Change Password’, from here you can change your password by typing a new one in both the ‘New Password’ and ‘Confirm Password’ boxes, and then clicking ‘Submit’. The next time you login, you will be required to give your new personalised password.

Can I apply for a job by sending my CV instead of the application form?

Depending on the Job, an Application may require the online form or the upload of a CV Attachment and covering letter.

I have been asked on the application form to give names and addresses of my two referees. Why does this happen and will it affect my position with my current employer?

This is not mandatory for you to fill in, this is just for information, and no contact will be made prior to you consent. If you do not provide this information now you may need to provide this information at a later time via a paper form if you reach the final selection stages.

Do I need to disclose all criminal convictions?

Only disclose if you have any unspent criminal convictions or convictions pending.

What is meant by an unspent conviction?

If you have ever been convicted of an offence for which a sentence of more than 2 years was imposed (regardless of the amount you have actually spent in prison) then this conviction can never become spent.

Will I be notified on receipt of my application?

When you submit your applications a thank you response is produced on screen, you can print this page using your web browser and save that as your receipt; also if you go to Manage My Profile (a link in the top corner) you can view a list of applications you have made via the My Applications menu item.

When will I be notified of the outcome of the application?

You will be notified usually 7 days after the expiry date of the Vacancy. For some vacancies further selection stages may be required.

I applied for a job recently; can I use the application form for a different job?

Yes, many of your details are held against your personal careers account (e.g. name/contact details/equal opportunities), other information can be copied onto further applications (e.g. work experience and qualifications) when you reach that page of the application process. This can speed up the process of applying for more than one vacancy with Next.

Will I be contacted if I’m not successful?

Yes you will be contacted within 7 days of the closing date of the vacancy; this will notify whether you have passed the Application stage. Further selection stages may apply.

What is the closing date?

The closing date can be found on the Vacancy Details page. This is the final date that applications can be submitted before the vacancy is removed from the website.
