Health Screening


We’ve invested in a Lifestyle Checkpoint Kiosk which can check everything from your blood pressure, Body Mass Index (BMI), hydration levels, metabolism, muscle mass and lots more!


Fresh Fruit Tuesdays


We have hundreds of pieces of fresh fruit delivered to head office every other week to incentivise our staff to eat healthily.


Flexible Working


We are committed to providing a realistic balance between work and life which will enable our employees to manage their ever-busy personal lives with their careers at Next.


We have a flexible working initiative across Head Office which gives employees more flexibility around their start and finish times to accommodate commuting, family life and their social lives!


Free Eye Tests


We have the ‘Eyepod’ attend Head Office approximately once a month with their mobile eye testing van. They carry out eye tests for all of our Display Screen Equipment users who are entitled to a free eye test bi annually. Having the van on site is a convenient option for our employees to have their eyes tested without having to use their personal time outside of work and can also benefit from discounted frames if they need to wear glasses. 

On-site Nursery


We are really proud of our on-site Nursery and have been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED since we opened in 2013. We are committed to providing high quality care and education for children aged between 12 weeks and 5 years and have over 200 spaces available for Next Head Office employees.


Nursery fee’s are fully inclusive of all meals and snacks and also includes nappies and milk for our youngest children. Our settling in sessions are free so both our employees and their children can get to know us.


For current employees we offer an early return to work incentive scheme where employees can benefit from free childcare. For example if an employee returns to work within 9 months of starting their leave, they will be entitled to 6 months free childcare.


Free Flu Jabs


We offer free flu jabs every year to employees at Head Office, Warehouses and within our call centres who wish to have one. Having a flu jab is the best way to prevent contracting the flu and we have an excellent take-up each year.

WorkingMums - We advertise our vacancies on the Working Mums Job Board which is targeted at supporting working mums where a typical 9-5 might not be suitable.


Business in the Community - We work with Business in the Community to inspire, engage and challenge people who are currently out of work and to create a skilled and inclusive workforce. 



Mental Wellbeing


At Next we want to have a culture that promotes and enables us all to achieve positive mental wellbeing. When we talk about mental wellbeing we mean “where our employees are able to achieve their potential, cope with normal day to day pressures, thrive and be productive in all aspects of their life.”


We want our employees to feel able to be creative, productive and engaged. Next is an inspiring, exciting and rewarding place to work and by helping our employees to maintain positive mental wellbeing, we know they will also help us to be successful.

Social Mobility


We work with Business in the Community to support the local community and in particular those that are currently out of work. We run a number of events at Head Office that include:

  • Introductions to various department
  • Tour of Head Office
  • Interview tips
  • CV Advice



 We’ve had an excellent success rate of securing participant's vacancies across our facilities and nursery teams.
