Summary

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Designer to join our fast-paced, forward-thinking Digital Design team to shape standout creative across our digital marketing channels. Based at NEXT Head Office in Leicestershire with a competitive salary range!

About The Role

The Social and Content Digital Design team is a collaborative team of eight designers responsible for creating standout work across all digital marketing channels (Social, TV, Onsite Ads, Display, DOOH etc). Day to day, they work on social media advertising, video editing, ad concepting and onsite advertising. They work closely with brand, marketing, social, planning and performance teams to deliver creative that not only looks great but drives results, with a strong focus on innovation and cross-channel thinking.

As a Senior Digital Designer, you’ll play a key role in ideation - ensuring creative output not only grabs attention but also aligns with best practices and help elevate how our brand and partner brands show up online. You'll work across concepting, design, animation, and delivery, with close collaboration across marketing, brand, trade and commercial teams.

You’ll be responsible for generating concepts, developing high-impact visuals, and working with some of the world’s biggest brands. From initial creative thinking through to final delivery, you’ll bring ideas to life through design, animation, and video - delivering engaging content across onsite placements and offsite platforms like Meta, YouTube and more.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Generating creative ideas and developing digital-first concepts for onsite and offsite channels
  • Leading video concepting and ideation for onsite ads, ensuring ideas are engaging, brand-aligned, and platform appropriate
  • Presenting concepts confidently to internal stakeholders and brand partners
  • Collaborating with brand, marketing and trade teams to shape concepts, formats, and creative approaches
  • Partnering with performance teams to ensure creative supports conversion and sales goals
  • Creating style guides, brand decks and visual toolkits where needed
  • Applying and adapting guidelines, styles, and layouts across formats
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including design leads across the department
  • Exploring new tools, techniques and processes to keep the team ahead creatively and technically

You’ll be doing all this from our Leicestershire Head Office. Our offices are inspiring, yes. But we understand that life happens. So, we’re big on making sure your work, works for you which is why we offer flexible working - minimum 3 days in the office per week and 2 from home.

What You'll Bring

  • A strong creative portfolio with 5+ years’ experience in a similar digital or creative role, ideally within fashion, retail or eCommerce
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and design rationale to internal stakeholders and external brand partners
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to take feedback onboard and refine work where needed
  • Experience working with fashion or lifestyle brands, with a good understanding of brand tone, audience and seasonal trading cycles
  • High attention to detail and a sharp eye for layout, typography and storytelling
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable - able to respond to shifting priorities and business needs
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude

Technical Skills

  • Excellent skills in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with the ability to edit and reformat video content for different media outputs (e.g. Meta, YouTube, onsite)
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Good working experience of Figma - from layout to prototyping and asset handover
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools - Drive, Sheets, Slides - for briefs, feedback, and creative sign-off
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management tools
  • Awareness of paid social platform formats (Meta, YouTube, TikTok, etc.)

This role is perfect for a confident, ideas-led designer with a strong background in digital advertising, video editing, and motion design - ideally within eCommerce, retail or a fast-moving in-house/agency environment.
