Summary

The role

NEXT is a global business that moves fast. We have a significant opportunity for a Group International Tax & Projects Manager to join our high-performing Group Tax team within Finance. Based at our Head Office, you will report to the Head of Tax and work alongside Finance, Indirect Tax, and Customs teams. This is a role for someone who wants to lead strategic projects and ensure our global tax affairs are robust, efficient, and future-ready.

What you’ll take on

  • Manage Global Strategy: Develop and maintain transfer pricing policies and lead the Group’s Pillar 2 compliance and reporting processes.

  • Lead International Projects: Advise on the tax implications of our international expansion and support the tax aspects of our finance modernisation project.

  • Drive Process Improvement: Identify ways to use technology to enhance data collection and streamline the tax function.

  • Ensure Robust Compliance: Manage international tax audits, defend positions with overseas authorities, and support the Head of Tax with group risk and governance frameworks.

  • Stay Ahead of Change: Monitor global tax developments to assess their impact on the business and provide ad hoc support across the Group.

What you’ll bring
  • Professional Expertise: You are CTA qualified (or equivalent, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.

  • Technical Strength: You have a strong analytical mind with the ability to interpret new legislation and apply it to a commercial environment.

  • Collaboration Skills: You are a confident communicator who can explain complex tax matters clearly to colleagues outside of the tax team.

  • Proactive Mindset: You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

  • Valuable Experience: While not essential, experience with Customs Duties, Transfer Pricing, or working within the retail sector would be an advantage.

We value the contribution of every individual. If you have the drive to make an impact and are ready to take on this challenge, we would love to hear from you.
