Summary

The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Partnerships department. This is an integral spot in a team that is both forward thinking and genuinely friendly. You will be helping us land our stock strategy and keeping our plans in perfect harmony with our partners, including Marks & Spencer, John Lewis and Zalando.

What You’ll Do

  • Master the Range: You will deliver a seasonal framework, using sales and profit analysis to predict exactly where our next big opportunity lies.
  • Keep Things Moving: You will ensure the range hits financial plans, adjusting as the season progresses and keeping the team on track.
  • Partner Up: You will work closely with our partners and the broader team to share seasonal strategies, communicating clearly so everyone is in the loop.
  • Trading & Tactics: You will present your plans to key decision-makers, using sound reasoning and a bit of confidence to get things signed off.
  • Stock Strategy: You will be accountable for forecasting and ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time.
  • Balance the Books: Working with Supply Chain and Planning, you will ensure stock is bought with a keen eye on cash flow and capacity.
  • Seasonal Success: You will oversee trading for the department, identifying markdown items and managing surplus stock to find the most profitable solutions.

What You’ll Bring

To really shine here, you should be someone who works flexibly and at pace, with a genuine love for the job. We value your technical skills, but we care just as much about who you are as a person.

  • The Right Mindset: You are adaptable, and a true team player who loves getting stuck in. You are not afraid to try new things, learn from mistakes, and celebrate the wins together.
  • The Toolkit: You have experience in a similar role, ideally within a fashion business.
  • The Details: You are a whiz with Excel or Google Sheets and have a high standard of commercial acumen. You can look at a set of figures and see the story they are telling.
  • A Creative Eye: You have a genuine interest in fashion and a preppy, fresh aesthetic that aligns with our heritage roots.
  • Communication Skills: You are a natural when it comes to negotiation and presentation, able to influence others while staying approachable and relatable.

Sponsorship:
In accordance with Home Office guidance successful candidates will be required to evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. Joules does not hold a Sponsor Licence and would not, therefore, be able to sponsor a successful candidate under the Skilled Worker route. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the right to work without sponsorship.

We encourage early applications for our roles, as our recruitment process begins as soon as the role is advertised. If we successfully fill the position, this advert may close earlier than planned.
