As the Team Leader for Security Remediation, you will play a vital part in safeguarding NEXT Technology. Your primary mission is to ensure the security, stability and peak performance of our infrastructure across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Working closely with our IT Security teams, you will provide a resilient foundation for the entire business, tackling everything from proactive vendor patching to reactive responses and third-party audits. We are dedicated to your growth and will support you in a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning.

What You’ll Take On

Enacting our core behaviours brings the NEXT employee experience to life. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team of up to 10 technical engineers, providing the coaching and feedback they need to thrive together.
  • Drive remediation by ensuring all assets are up to date and addressing vulnerabilities promptly to make an impact.
  • Manage operational standards through proactive monitoring to resolve issues before they affect our services.
  • Collaborate across the business with stakeholders and vendors to prioritise infrastructure needs and execute essential upgrades.
  • Oversee estate health by managing certificates and maintaining accurate technical documentation.
  • Support major incidents by leading troubleshooting efforts to ensure timely service restoration when it matters most.
  • Foster a positive culture through daily stand-ups and regular one-to-one meetings, ensuring the team remains aligned and motivated.

What you'll bring

We know everyone is at their best when they are being themselves. To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven leadership and the ability to delegate effectively while maintaining an ego-free team environment.
  • Strong technical foundations in core infrastructure and a conceptual understanding of cloud technologies and network architecture.
  • Operational expertise in ITIL processes, specifically regarding change, incident, and problem management.
  • A problem-solving mindset that allows you to find innovative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Clear communication skills to act as a point of escalation and translate complex issues for everyone.
  • Organisational discipline with a keen eye for detail when managing infrastructure capacity and budgets.
  • A commitment to growth, staying curious about emerging industry trends and always looking for ways to evolve our processes.
