About the Team

 

We are looking for a Creative Digital Design Manager to join our fast pace team on a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for implementing the Brand Design strategy, whilst working closely with the Head of Creative and Marketing Manager. You will lead and empower the Digital Design Team through your industry knowledge, ensuring the brand and execution is to a high-standard and in line with the Lipsy brand and overall business strategy.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Acts as the ambassador of all Lipsy branded Design content.
  • Champion Design innovation within all communication ensuring Lipsy are at the forefront of Ecommerce, Fashion and Retail.  
  • Develop, implement and drive the digital design strategy for Lipsy, working closely with the Head of Creative and Marketing Manager.
  • Lead pitch projects for business growth and integrated campaigns in collaboration with Head of Creative and Marketing Manager.
  • Own the full design process from concept through to output across mobile, web, retail and email, design looking at the photography, art direction and final design execution. 
  • Monitor project progress and troubleshoot related issues.
  • Ensure all design work produced is in line with the Lipsy guidelines. 
  • Work with and update brand guidelines across the business including licenses.
  • Utilise the online job tracker to manage projects and make sure deadlines are met in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external departments, working with them to set project deadlines, ensuring that these fall in line with the department’s critical path.
  • Manage a team of Creative Designers ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed brand guidelines.
  • Prioritising the team’s workflow and conducting regular reviews to ensure deadlines and targets are met.
  • Be a brand ambassador to the team and drive motivation to maximise performance levels.
  • Ensure the team has all suitable assets, images, copy which are required to complete the projects, working with stakeholders to develop briefs & creative concepts where necessary.
  • Work alongside key stakeholders to agree timelines and manage their expectations throughout.
  • Take responsibility for the visual appearance of marketing assets, whilst maintaining brand continuity at all times.

 

Criteria

 

  • Previous experience gained within a fast pace, Creative design environment.
  • Someone who can drive creative concepts across all channels.
  • Experience of working in a hands-on team and is able to get involved with the design process and kick start campaigns.
  • Knowledge of Sketch & After Effects is desirable.
  • Experience of working across multiple brands is a bonus.
  • Exposure to leading multi-channel campaigns.
  • Ability to drive and be aware of fashion and social design trends.

About the Team

 

As part of a growing department that drives and services all brand visual output, Lipsy Group are looking for a Middleweight Art Director to join the Creative Shoot team. The role will be integral in helping to drive art direction to the next level, responsible for developing and delivering the brands E-com and marketing imagery (video & stills) – spanning a wide variety of product categories and communications needs.

 

Coming on board at midweight level, you'll be directly supporting the Head of Creative in developing and delivering sound and compelling creative projects. Ensuring the vision of each brand is effectively communicated within budget and deadline across all platforms (these being mainly social and online).

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Generating ideas, storyboarding concepts, pitching presentations and producing creative briefs for various platforms.
  • Collaborating with the in-house shoot team, both in the brand's own photo studio as well as given on location opportunities.
  • Execute original and best in class creative direction across stills and video content for all platforms and end uses.
  • Collaborating with the shoot team across Pre Production, Production and Post Production - covering all areas of creative from concepts and set design to on set directing.
  • Ensure output is to the highest quality, push for newness and fresh ideas.
  • Critically evaluate the creative process and work to improve to drive productivity, cost savings and optimisation at all times.
  • Effectively communicating concepts and storyboards through presentations and briefings
  • Forge and maintain relationships with photographers, videographers and other vendors
  • Efficiently manage set design and props
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, styling, social media, video, design, and technology where relevant to Lipsy Group Companies
  • Collaborate with various departments and functions including members of the shoot team, as well as business partners in marketing, design, PR and buying
  • Partner with Project managers and Producers to meet fast paced timelines
  • Ensures adherence to brand guidelines and best practices in own work
  • Take ownership of deliverables and initiatives with acute attention to craft and detail
  • Working closely with inhouse team to channel and elevate styling across all shoots.

About the Team

 

We have a great opportunity for an ambitious, self driven, Shoot Assistant. You will be supporting the day to day management of products from our London head office to our Studio. The successful candidate will act as runner to shoots & Photographers, offering their support and assistance where necessary. Our studio is based in North West London and is just one of the many areas of growth for Lipsy. With the expansion of our branded offering to over 200 brands and our new product areas including fashion essentials, the demand for content has greatly increased in the last year. 

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Work with the Studio Assistant to check in products and help create styling decks, ensuring they are also logged on the newness tracker & shoot lists.
  • Ensure all style numbers are accurately recorded to prevent duplication, and communicate with Buying when these are incorrect.
  • Work with the Studio Assistant to pack and send all products to external shoots & bloggers.
  • Orders props/styling for shoots, where necessary.
  • Work with the Studio Assistant to manage returned shoot products; receiving and unpacking returned shoot product, and returning samples to relevant departments.
  • Manage the edit process and files all final images for Retouchers.
  • Obtain feedback from mark ups and work with the Retoucher to ensure that images are retouched accordingly.
  • Ensure all retouched images are uploaded online for live date.
  • Work closely with the Site Optimisation Team to ensure retouched images are uploaded on to the DAM System ensuring export hits go live dates.
  • Ensure all cost on projects are signed off by the Project Manager.
  • Manage the Image Library filing system of images, and assists the wider business with image requests.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with key stakeholders across the business and supports stakeholders with any requirements related to shoot samples.
  • Demonstrate awareness of all campaign and trend shoots that are going live.
  • Ensure all day-to-day emails and queries are answered promptly, and within 24 hours.
  • Where required, assists Project Manager with production for campaign shoots i.e. searching for models, locations, finalising crew, call sheets, permits, props, logistics, transport/couriers, etc.
  • When required, gather shoot inspiration for campaign/trend projects to collaborate ideas with the wider team
  • Work closely with the Brands and Buying teams, and supports Shoot Producer in ensuring that all samples required for shoots are available to schedule, and samples are returned to relevant teams on time.

 

Criteria

 

  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or holds a creative qualification 
  • Eager to grow and develop yourself in a fast paced environment 
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately 
  • Strong communication skills (both verbally and in writing) and demonstrates a confidence when working with others

We are currently recruiting for a People Partner to join our innovative and much valued People Team. Reporting to our Head of People, you will play a pivotal role in providing generalist HR support to the business, building strong relationships with stakeholders and being the expert in all things HR.

  • Maintaining data, creating reports and supporting the team to analyse and make decisions based on the information provided

  • Assists the Supply Chain Coordinator with the on-boarding program, being the first point of call on how our delivery processes works to suppliers
  • Attends monthly meetings with the Supply Chain Coordinator and the Franchise team to outline any process improvements and an update on the market performance
  • Attends weekly meetings regarding upcoming phase launches, working closely with Merchandisers, suppliers and the warehouse to ensure stock is available on launch day

 

Criteria

 

  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain role, retail experience is preferable but not essential

Within this role you will

 

  • Sole responsibility for the design and development of up specced tops.
  • Presenting new product ranges to management and buying teams
  • Liaise with the sample room and brief designs to the Creative Pattern Cutter.
  • Identify new key shapes and trends, and deliver commercial product that fit the Lipsy handwriting. This is one of our true DNA higher price point departments.
  • Work closely with the Buying and Merchandising teams to deliver the range. 
  • Work collaboratively to create and present your seasonal strategy to senior management.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure your designs are interpreted correctly and achieve a high hit rate on sampling.
  • Work collectively with suppliers to source new fabrics and trims each season and be able to design into a price point.
  • Work with the Print Designer to develop beautiful in house prints for your product
  • Be able to adapt and improve your designs based on feedback from Buying and management, and react to current trade across the business.
  • Responsible for working with the technical team and buying to ensure the correct fitting garment is delivered for production.

Due to the success of our Beauty range we are now looking to grow and expand the team in this area.  We are now looking for a Part Time Beauty Technologist with experience in Beauty to join our Technical Team in delivering all responsibilities of the role whilst also developing the necessary skills and knowledge to develop their career.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Understanding of labelling requirements for Beauty (and Home Fragrance) as dictated by the Cosmetics Regulation
  • Ability to review CPSRs' for new brands. Understanding of CPNP requirements and UK CPNP to check whether a product has been notified and is legal to sell
  • A top level understanding of Safety Data Sheets. If covering Home Fragrance an understanding of CLP
  • Ability to report SUEs (Serious Undesirable Effects) to competent authorities should you have any significant complaints that qualify and require reporting
  • Has the ability to look forward and predict regulatory changes
  • Random on market and online surveillance testing as part of due diligence process
  • Assess and manage Customer Complaints
  • Overview and update cosmetic manual with the appropriate regulations and standards
  • Understands the importance of COP and Modern Slavery Policies with the Brands, which comply with;
  • The Next Beauty code of conduct and Modern Slavery Standards as a minimum
  • Shows an awareness of the legislation and best practice policies in CSR
  • Forms a key interface with brands, ensuring the brands understand Next Beauty standards and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Identifies any manufacturing or performance risks and escalates these
  • Takes responsibility to resolve any issues in the most cost effective and profit conscious way whilst maintaining customer focus

About the Team

 

We are recruiting for a Retoucher to join our innovative and fun Studio team based in Premier Park. Within this role you will be retouching imagery for the Lipsy/Next Brands website. Working closely with the Creative Team to ensure the delivery of creative, high quality imagery is in line with brand guidelines and delivered within set timescales to business deadlines.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Retouching of high quality Lipsy/Next Brands imagery in line with the studio guidelines and creative requirements of the business.
  • Responsible for ensuring there is accurate colour correction of imagery shot in the studio against product or digital swatches.
  • Maintain the studio folder structure and workflow.
  • Execute processes efficiently; maintaining and ensuring all daily volumes, deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Proactively resolving creative challenges by using appropriate resources and/or solutions.
  • Establish and maintain close relations with Creative team, to ensure all budgets and timelines are met and to efficiently communicate any delays to Studio Manager.
  • Work closely with the Shoot Team to ensure the best possible image is captured and suggest alternative methods to achieve the desired result in the most efficient way.
  • Accurately following detailed retouching notes provided by our photographers and stylists to meet Lipsy guidelines.
  • Be responsible for highlighting any retouching/colour issues.
  • Where appropriate, attend pre-shoot meetings to collate relevant information and agree any actions that need to be dealt with.
  • Oversee all IT equipment (Mac Pro Towers, EZIO screens, Hard drives, etc), calibrating screens regularly and keep a tidy and organised work area.
  • Offer technical image retouching and guidance to all team members.
  • Completion of ad hoc duties as set out by the Management team.

 

Criteria

 

  • Have image retouching experience in a photo studio environment within the fashion/ ecommerce industry.
  • Experience using the latest Photoshop software and all image retouching practices.
  • Good knowledge of image capture, photography and studio lighting.
  • Confident in accurate colour correction using physical and digital swatches.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to identify poor colour balance in images and the knowledge of how to correct those using techniques in Photoshop.
  • Creative flair and passion for visual composition and attention to detail.
  • Originality and a strong visual sense for trends and styling.
  • Ability to take creative direction.
  • To be flexible in your approach and easily adapt to working with new teams.
  • Have an understanding of the requirements and pace of online imagery.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi- task and meet deadlines.
  • Be pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the product image quality.
  • Good engagement and communication skills with the ability to monitor the day’s activity and communicate if the days target cannot be met.
  • Experience of file naming and tracking imagery via a database.
