About the team

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Assistant Merchandiser to join our Lipsy own buy fashion department. Working alongside the buying team you will use analysis and experience to forecast sales and stock levels whilst building a commercial range together to ensure our customers have something to satisfy their needs.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Maximise profit by ensuring size ratios/returns rates are reflective of the customer needs and reviewed accordingly to website.
  • Be responsible for ensuring intake targets are achieved and ensure launch product is delivered in a timely manner.
  • Develop a strong understanding of product performance across the various channels and understand how to impact performance.
  • Contribute to department strategy demonstrating an ability to recognise innovative ideas and solutions, which have a commercial gain.
  • Develop your Merchandise Assistant through their development programme, by identifying and setting measurable objectives and developing a flexible management style as appropriate to their needs.

 

Criteria

 

  • Outstanding ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • An inspirational manager with the ability to develop your Merchandise Assistant.
  • Extensive experience within the fashion and apparel area.
  • Experience operating at an Assistant Merchandiser level.

About the team

 

We’re currently recruiting for Merchandise Assistants to join our ever growing fashion team. You will own the achievement of the Critical Path in terms of guaranteeing that stock is receipted into the business and processed in a timely manner through to the product going live. You will work with the team and suppliers whilst providing admin support to progress results. This role is responsible for maximising the profitability of each line.

 

Criteria 

 

  • Exposure to Merchandising function of a retail business through entry level roles and or placements/ internships would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills and a love of Excel.
  • Strong team ethos – working together and building excellent relationships with your team along with all other key partnerships.
  • An awareness of high street, catwalk and competitor key trends.
  • Great problem solving skills.
  • The ability to manage your own time.

We are looking for a fabulous BAA To provide the Buying team with efficient administrative support, and play a supportive role in delivering an inspirational, authoritative and profitable assortment.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Timely uploading of product information into our systems.
  • Managing Master Brand document up to date with accurate customer contact information.
  • Responsible for the management of Buying Office samples, coordinating to meet shoot deadlines.
  • Build relationships and regularly communicate with internal stakeholders including Merchandising, Marketing and Online Trading to ensure key dates are met and product is launched on time.
  • Build effective long term relationships with external suppliers.
  • Follow up suppliers queries promptly and efficiently.
  • Support Buyer with preparation and follow up for strategy meetings with suppliers and internal range review meetings.
  • Monitoring daily sales, sharing any observations and suggesting actions.
  • Interpret results to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled Creative Pattern Cutter to join our successful Design Team on a Freelance basis.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Work closely with the designers to discuss the different technical options to achieve their vision based on their own knowledge of product techniques
  • Responsible for developing all new patterns from designers sketches
  • Toiling as requested, working in collaboration with the in-house machinists with feedback from the designers
  • Work in collaboration with the Technical team using the Lipsy blocks and standards
  • Technical knowledge to produce garments patterns whilst maintaining cost efficiency
  • Provide creative support to the technical team
  • Problem solving liaising between design, buying, and factories

 

Criteria

 

  • Previous experience as a creative pattern cutter from within a retail brand or supplier
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction and manufacturing techniques in women’s wear, specifically, Dresses, Soft Separates and Outwear
  • Strong understand trends and designer requirements, and how to commercially execute them
  • Ability to work with pace and accuracy to Lipsy standards
  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing)
  • Ability to be privy to highly confidential information and ensure it remains so
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to use initiative

We are looking for you to design and create beautiful bespoke knitwear that is distinctively Lipsy. If you have creative and artistic flair with fresh, new and innovative ideas we want you to bring your skill and passion to the already successful design team at Lipsy.

  • Responsibility for the design, development and delivery of relevant and trend led product for the knitwear department
  • Presenting new product ranges to management and buying teams

We are looking for an experienced Senior Integrated Designer to join our creative team on an Interim basis to cover maternity. This is an interim position for up to 12 months and you will report into the Integrated Design Manager and working alongside a team of dynamic Designers. At Lipsy, we always look to create the most inspirational designs to captivate and engage our Lipsy customer. Our Integrated Design Team are involved in creating and delivering exciting projects across the business both print as well as digital.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Takes responsibility for the visual appearance of the brand e.g. digital marketing assets, in-store graphics, maintaining brand continuity at all times.
  • Delivers highly creative designs for Lipsy featuring on Next.com.
  • Manages the design projects from brief to concept across mobile, web, retail and email design.
  • Liaises with the Digital Marketing team to create design elements across all areas of the business, ensuring they keep within the brand guidelines.
  • Develop, implement and drive the design strategy for Lipsy, working closely with the Integrated Design Manager.
  • Builds strong working relationships with other departments in the business including PR, HR, Retail and Design.
  • Provide support for junior members of the team and assist the Integrated Design Manager with their development.
  • Champions design innovation within all communication ensuring Lipsy are at the forefront of Fashion and Retail.
  • Is consistently aware of fashion commerce sites, seasonal campaigns designs and developments within the industry.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as and when required.

 

Criteria

 

  • Demonstrable experience creating multimedia creative assets in a integrated creative team, ideally for a fashion retailer.
  • Full understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards, best practice and user experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including basic coding knowledge of HTML & CSS.
  • Working knowledge of other digital design programs including Sketch and After Effects.
  • Experience of print design.
  • Proven ability to work in content management systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current digital and fashion trends.
  • Strong organization skills, efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative nature, participating in all forms of creative discussions.

About the Team

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join the team at our stunning flagship store in the heart of central London on Tottenham Court Road. This is a temporary position for a minimum term of 12 months. 

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Responsible for supervising the team on a daily basis.
  • Delegating tasks and managing the team work load on a daily basis.
  • Hold team briefings to communicate brand information, updates, promotions and sales targets to the team and motivate them to achieve them.
  • Key holder for the store, responsible for the opening procedures and store set up and close down procedures including banking at the end of the day.
  • Managing the delivery and replenishment process.
  • Demonstrate excellent product knowledge to drive sales, lead by example to the sales consultant team.

 

Criteria

 

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role from within a luxury/premium beauty brand.
  • Experience in supervising a team.
  • Previous key holder experience preferable, however experience gained within a department store environment will also be considered.
  • Genuine passion for beauty and cosmetics.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a natural warmth and friendly approach.
