Interim Senior Integrated Designer

About the team

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Integrated Designer to join our creative team on an Interim basis to cover maternity. This is an interim position for up to 12 months and you will report into the Integrated Design Manager and working alongside a team of dynamic Designers. At Lipsy, we always look to create the most inspirational designs to captivate and engage our Lipsy customer. Our Integrated Design Team are involved in creating and delivering exciting projects across the business both print as well as digital.

 

Within this role you will

 

  • Takes responsibility for the visual appearance of the brand e.g. digital marketing assets, in-store graphics, maintaining brand continuity at all times.
  • Delivers highly creative designs for Lipsy featuring on Next.com.
  • Manages the design projects from brief to concept across mobile, web, retail and email design.
  • Liaises with the Digital Marketing team to create design elements across all areas of the business, ensuring they keep within the brand guidelines.
  • Develop, implement and drive the design strategy for Lipsy, working closely with the Integrated Design Manager.
  • Builds strong working relationships with other departments in the business including PR, HR, Retail and Design.
  • Provide support for junior members of the team and assist the Integrated Design Manager with their development.
  • Champions design innovation within all communication ensuring Lipsy are at the forefront of Fashion and Retail.
  • Is consistently aware of fashion commerce sites, seasonal campaigns designs and developments within the industry.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects as and when required.

 

Criteria

 

  • Demonstrable experience creating multimedia creative assets in a integrated creative team, ideally for a fashion retailer.
  • Full understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards, best practice and user experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including basic coding knowledge of HTML & CSS.
  • Working knowledge of other digital design programs including Sketch and After Effects.
  • Experience of print design.
  • Proven ability to work in content management systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current digital and fashion trends.
  • Strong organization skills, efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Creative, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative nature, participating in all forms of creative discussions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards and ensuring only the best work is released
  • The ability to keep a cool head and meet deadlines and the confidence to delegate tasks
  • Ability to work as a team and integrate with others and be able to show initiative in making creative decisions.
  • You will be a creative thinker who is able to bring new ideas with a hunger to grow and develop your range of skills.

Within your role, you will:

You will own the achievement of the Critical Path in terms of guaranteeing that stock is receipted into the business and processed in a timely manner through to the product going live. You will work with the team and suppliers whilst providing admin support to progress results. This role is responsible for maximising the profitability of each line via the website.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Mid-Weight Integrated Designer to join our creative team on an Interim basis to cover maternity. Within this role you will

 

  • Create eye catching designs for a range of marketing materials whilst working in line with our brand guidelines and seasonal style packs.
  • Working closely with our social media team to design assets for all our channels.
  • Creating online editorial design for Next’s digital look books.
  • Coming up with creative and engaging designs for our weekly newsletters.
  • Creating and art working visual designs that effectively communicate brand concepts and identity.
  • Ad hoc asset resizing, cropping, retouching, and optimisation of images and artwork for our day-to-day business needs.
  • Build strong working relationships with other departments in the business including PR, Retail HR and act as a design resource.
  • Provide support to the junior members of the team to encourage their development, and escalate to the Senior Digital Designer where necessary.
  • Consistently be aware of fashion ecommerce sites – designs and development.
  • Pushing the boundaries with design ideas to keep up with current trends.
  • To complete any other duties as reasonably requested by your Manager to ensure the continuous development of the business.

 

Criteria

 

  • Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards, best practice and user experience.
  • Good knowledge of current digital and fashion trends
  • Experience of both Print and Digital design.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience designing with Sketch and After Effects.
  • Experience using HTML, Dreamweaver is desirable (but not essential)
  • Proven ability to work in content management systems
  • Ability to work as a team and integrate with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to show initiative.
  • Creative, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative nature, participating in all forms of creative discussions.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to manage own time and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of platform-specific behaviour across digital devices.
  • Ability to interpret brand guidelines and design within Lipsy brand aesthetic and values.

  • Effectively trade brands to ensure key profit drivers, trends & key items are maximised
  • Drive strategies and action for delivering Brands departments sales, margin & profit plans

Criteria

 

  • Extensive previous experience in a leading Branded business with proven delivery of results through buying, negotiations, planning, trading and leadership

  • Proven track record of delivering incremental sales growth in a dynamic results orientated environment
  • Proven management and leadership experience with strong decision making abilities and excellent communication skills
