Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a production professional to take ownership of the operational heartbeat of our NEXT HOME Photo Studio. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver seamless shoot days, balancing the logistical precision expectation from the Studio Manager, with the creative oversight of a Producer.

You’ll manage everything from high-level logistical support to on-set assistance, ensuring every production activity runs with purpose and efficiency. By coordinating between departments and leading the production team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high studio standards we are proud of.

What You’ll Take On

  • Manage a team of Production Assistants to deliver exceptional service to the studios. Ensuring even and organised workloads across the team. Conducting 1-1s and working with the Studio Manager on development pathways.
  • Take ownership of the studio space, ensuring every area is clean, well-prepared, and reflects our high standards.
  • Lead the activities on the studio floor, making sure equipment, products, props, and sets are ready at least 24 hours before a shoot begins.
  • Act as a Producer for location and trend shoots, managing budgets and creating detailed risk assessments for our "platinum" productions.
  • Serve as a key link between departments, ensuring everyone is updated on schedules and requirements. You’ll also relay vital information and instructions from the production team to our on-site crew and talent.
  • Deputising in the absence Studio Manager
  • Participate in pre and post-production meetings to provide input on logistics and layout. You’ll address any on-set challenges promptly, troubleshooting ahead of schedule to keep every shoot running efficiently.
  • Implement dynamic working procedures that help us deliver excellence.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working in a photo studio environment with a deep understanding of operations, equipment, and production processes.
  • A background in production budget tracking and a proven ability to write and deliver detailed risk assessments.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge to ensure the studio remains a safe and professional environment for the whole team.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team and implementing processes that meet business needs.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with ease.
  • A calm approach to working under pressure, staying flexible and responsive when plans change.
  • Great interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, senior management, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite on Mac OS, specifically using Docs and Sheets.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable
