Summary

As a Studio Warehouse Operative, you will be at the heart of our creative process, ensuring our NEXT HOME collections are handled with care to and from the camera lens. You will take ownership of scanning, picking, and locating samples with precision, while also coordinating the transport of items between our Leicester Head Office, photography locations, and our various studio sites.

This is a hands-on role where you will work across our Goods In/Out and returns areas, using Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to keep our workflow moving. We are looking for a proactive colleague who communicates with purpose and respect, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to play a key part in a team where standing still is never an option.

What You'll Take On

As a Studio Warehouse Operative, you will be the custodian of our Home samples, ensuring every item is handled with care and precision.

  • Scanning and registering products into the system using the studio database ensures everything is ready for storage or location.
  • Transporting samples between our 4 studio sites and location houses on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Using MHE to locate and transport studio samples
  • Taking ownership of products throughout the shoot process includes securely wrapping heavy furniture for press events and trade meetings.
  • Managing the loading and unloading of vehicles and producing accurate delivery notes.
  • Actively managing the safety of yourself and your colleagues involves reporting hazards and following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc tasks set by the Senior Studio Production Coordinator helps keep the whole team moving.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for a knowledgeable colleague who communicates with purpose and is ready to work at pace.

  • Essential warehouse experience and a full UK driving licence are required, with experience driving a van as an advantage.
  • Holding a Reach or Counterbalance licence is desirable, though a willingness to train for them is also welcomed.
  • Comfort with heavy lifting is necessary as the role involves moving samples such as sofas and beds.
  • Strong data input skills on Mac or PC help maintain a high level of accuracy in your work.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise your own workload ensures all deadlines are met.
  • A flexible attitude towards change allows you to work across different warehouse disciplines or studio sites when required.
  • Professionalism and strong interpersonal skills are vital for collaborating effectively with peers and senior management.
