Summary

About the Role:
Based in central London - this is the perfect setting for creativity! Core hours flexible between 8am and 6pm.

When it comes to UK retail, it’s hard to find a company with a bigger brand portfolio . We sell thousands of items an hour and our repeat customer base comes back to us time and time again for our renowned trend led, quality products. For anyone in the design field - this is the place to learn. To grow. And to thrive.

We have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced designer to join the Fashion Brands team at Next, where we design and manufacture the Childrenswear collections for brands such as Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Little Bird, Superdry and smALLSAINTS. From researching the latest trends and presenting concepts you’ll work hard to produce elevated designs that reflect the brands 'DNA' and handwriting.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, self motivated designer who has experience working at pace with premium brands, across different supply bases and product categories.

We’re looking for a versatile, resilient designer with a passion for designing across all product areas. The role could involve working on multiple brands and creating Childrenswear collections from concept to final design.

The Team…
You will be working with a like minded and creative team who have a real passion for product and a shared goal to push the brands forward, collaborating to innovate and bring your ideas and designs to life ensuring they align with the brands handwriting, current market trends and our customers needs.

About You:
An excellent team player with great attention to detail, you’ll work closely with the team and alongside our brands to create exciting and commercial Childrenswear designs for our current brand product ranges, plus potentially more exciting brands!
You’ll need to have great attention to detail, strong commercial awareness and thrive on working in a fast paced environment with a real passion for product.

The ability to generate original prints and graphics would be advantageous but not essential.

Building successful team relationships, instilling confidence and trust in our partnerships is key to the success of the department and we hope this could be you!

Experience of end-to-end product development is essential for this role
