About the team

We are recruiting for a Buyer’s Admin Assistant to join our Lipsy Buying Team!

Within the role of a Buyer’s Admin Assistant, you will support and assist the Buying and Merchandising teams whilst having a fantastic opportunity to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to develop your career within Buying. If you possess the following qualities, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
  • Manage the Critical Path, liaising with the Merchandise Assistant & Assistant Buyer to flag late deliveries, early product deliveries and seal by dates.
  • Attend and be involved with selection and progress meetings, demonstrating knowledge of the best and worst sellers.
  • React to sales under Buyer’s direction, communicating with suppliers to repeat, re-style and cancel orders
  • Send out supplier updates for the Critical Path on a weekly basis
  • React to best and worst sellers and brings ideas to the table with the Buyer
  • Manage samples across sample library, photoshoots, Press Days and product reviews.
  • Prepare product selection and boards for product reviews, wholesale appointments, photo shoots and press days.
  • Liaise with manufacturers and fabric suppliers to progress samples for selection and production
  • Work with the shoot team to organise samples for any shoots
  • Ensures sample rail is kept tidy and are readily available for retail web, selection and in preparation for fit sessions
  • Develop an understanding of the product development progress, sourcing fabrics, trims, colour approval and fit. Maintain fabric component and print library
  • Conduct Lipsy store visits with the team to gain a better understanding of the customer
  • Frequently conduct competition shops and presents findings to Buyer
  • Attend relevant events e.g. clubs, festivals, races, trade shows, where appropriate, as well as review online database and feeds back to the Buyer
  • Attend and contributes to fit meetings with Buyer
  • Take comments for buyer & technologist during weekly fit meetings.
  • Knowledge of current seasons’ bestsellers and competitor key trends along with an awareness of trends on social media and a strong eye for product

About You
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, along with attention to detail
  • Strong team ethos – working together and building excellent relationships and communicating confidently to both peers and suppliers/Brands
  • Experience analysing reports and highlighting key data
  • Strong understanding of our customer and brand values
  • A passion for Lipsy and a willingness to learn and develop within your role
  • Experience in managing the critical path is essential
